\n## City Retreat & Move The Youth Weekly Foodbank

\n### Feed a Family. Empower a Young Person. Strengthen a Community.
\n
\nCity Retreat\, in partnership with **Move The Youth**\, is running a **weekly community foodbank every Friday**\, providing essential family food parcels to people experiencing financial hardship across Leicester.
\n
\nThe programme combines two important aims: **supporting families with dignity and empowering young people through meaningful community service**. Young volunteers are given opportunities to take responsibility\, serve others\, and develop compassion\, confidence\, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
\n
\nEach week\, the foodbank aims to provide around **25 family food parcels**\, supporting approximately **100–125 people**. With community support\, the programme aims to distribute around **450 family food parcels by the end of December** and continue operating through the end of 2026.
\n
\n* **Every Friday:** 4:00–5:00 PM
\n* **Location:** City Retreat\, 74 Church Gate\, Leicester\, LE1 4AL
\n* **Weekly funding needed:** £220
\n* **Programme funding target:** £3\,960 to help sustain the foodbank until the end of 2026
\n* **Donations:** Ṣadaqah and general donations only
\n* **Delivered by:** Move The Youth in partnership with City Retreat
